Rinehardt Law Firm’s First Annual School Supply Drive

Every year, many children start the new school year without the most basic supplies needed to succeed in the classroom.

In an effort to help children in Richland, Crawford, and Ashland Counties, the law firm of Rinehardt Law Firm hosted its first annual school supply drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Central Ohio.

The effort was part of the Injury Board Day of Action, a nationwide community outreach event. The IB Day of Action brings together more than 100 plaintiffs’ lawyer firms from across the country, all working for the same cause on the same day.

Rinehardt Law Firm is dedicated to giving back to the local community and helping those in need.

The firm provided 48 backpacks and school supplies and collected donations from members of the community. At the end of the drive, the firm was able to donate 55 backpacks filled with supplies! Big Brothers Big Sisters distributed the backpacks to families in need.

Rinehardt Law Firm Gives Back

Rinehardt law firm Team

The Rinehardt Law Firm is passionate about giving back to our community. This year, we are the proud sponsor of the Mansfield Police D.A.R.E. program.

The D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program is an internationally recognized program created by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Unified School District.

D.A.R.E. provides students from kindergarten through high school with the skills necessary to recognize and resist pressures to experiment with drugs and to avoid gangs and violence. Lessons emphasize self-esteem, decision making, interpersonal communications skills, the consequences of drug abuse, conflict resolution and positive alternatives to substance abuse.

The most important facet of D.A.R.E. is the use of specially trained police officers to deliver the curriculum within the schools. Police Officers are accepted as authorities on drug abuse, as they deal with drug abuse and its consequences on a daily basis.

Safe Cars Saves Lives

NHTSA Safe Cars Save Lives

Recalls are a serious safety issue so the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) has launched a new public awareness campaign called “Safe Cars Save Lives.”

The NHTSA urges consumers to check for open recalls at least twice per year and to get their vehicles fixed ASAP. Last year alone, there were 900 recalls affecting 51 million vehicles nationwide, but 25% of recalled vehicles go left un-repaired.

Checking for recalls and getting repairs could help save a life. Use the following link to check for recalls using your VIN number or by make and model:

A good way to remember to check is to time it with daylight savings time (and remember to check your smoke alarms too!).

The goal of the NHTSA is to get a 100% completion rate for every single recall. The NHTSA recognizes that effective communication of a recall is an important step in the process so they also developed mobile apps for Apple and Android devices that provide on the spot information on crash protection features, advanced safety features, and recalls on new vehicles and many older models.
